What We’re Up To

We hope your summer is going well!

A. Interior Decor, has indulged in a little summer R&R if only for a couple of days.  We retreated to our beautiful scenic Up-State New York where we have gathered loads of Lake house and Cabin inspiration for Our upcoming theme. 

We are super excited about some of the new things that have come about over the last two months. 

A. Interior Decor has been looking forward to featuring the works of both local and Global artisan. In June, we teamed up with Brooklyn local artist Soot Lim.  Lim designs beautiful pillow covers that are handmade with the embroidery of the Brooklyn Bridge. Lim's pillow covers are created in and shipped from Brooklyn, NY which means fast delivery time. 

And for our customers who keep asking, When are we going to install a Customer Reviews? Well, we finally did!  Not only can you now leave your review and rates Us, but you can also read reviews and ratings left by your fellow consumers about our products and services. So please, when you make a purchase make sure you let us know how we are doing and tell others.

SHOPPING ONLINE VS. IN STORE

Do customers prefer to shop online or off-line?  I think it's almost a split down the middle, the margin is really small.

A survey done earlier this year by Furniture Today revealed that 70% of women purchased home accents online and 51% purchased major furniture pieces online, while 53% of their male counterpart purchased home accents online with 49% purchasing major furniture pieces online. When broken down into the different age groups, across the board, Millennials did the most purchasing of both home accents and furniture online. 

An advantage that A. Interior Decor and all online retailer have is that we are able to provide a wider range of products that customers can not see in stores because a physical store has space limitations. This also casts a wider net with respect to suppliers and dealers allowing us to better serve the needs of customers.

The advantages work both ways, shopping is made easy and convenient for customers online. Online shopping, saves a customer time and effort, a customer can conveniently shop from home, there is a wider variety/range of products available, good discounts/lower prices, access to detailed information about the product and, the advantage of being able to compare various models/brands.

We know that digital commerce is critical to retail success, online shopping is part of our fabric and consumers are clear in that they want shopping experiences and processes made easier and convenient.
